Daily Sanitizing of Dispenser Spigots
Such things as customer’s dirty jugs or fingers touching the spigots or even air born germs from sneezing or coughing can be a source of possible bacteria growth if left unattended for more than 24 hrs.
We recommend sterilizing the spigots with a capful of 3% peroxide solution twice a day. First thing in the morning before dispensing water to customers and at the end of the day just before closing the shop, to prevent back growth through dispener lines into sytem.
What To Do:
Spray area around dispenser/spigots with 50/50 mixture of RO water and 3% peroxide (Bottle Sanitizer Solution) and wipe clean.
Then fill a clean cap or plastic shot glass (as in picture) with straight 3% peroxide and hold over the tip of your dispenser to a depth of at least 2 mm for 1 minute. Allow to air dry.
*Also recommended for coolers spigots if you have one in your shop for potential customers to try a sample of the purified water.
